I went to this seminar and I will have to say there were some monster deer up on display. It was good to see the quality of deer Indiana can produce. As for Brad Herndon, he was an alright speaker, but some of his points I did not agree with. He wants to absolutely ban all spotlighting, because I guess all spotlighters are poachers and that will stop poachers from doing it right.... He also talked about shortening the gun season and taking it out of rut. He tried to compare us to Illinois quite often. All in all not a bad seminar, but hearing him once was enough for me.

I agree, one time for me. I can look at pictures of deer on the internet. He took the first half hour doing that. Then the basics of food plots and trail cameras. I was hoping for more info like his book.

Yeah that is exactly what we thought. Why spend so long going over pictures of deer and how much they scored and who shot them. There was no in-depth or detailed information on any of the subjects. I was really wanting to win that rifle as well, but one of us in our group of three won a sling and a compass.

Always fun to be around that many hunters in one room. The first half about famous whitetails was redundant. We all know about these famous beasts. And the heavily advertised topics were vague and basically a spec in the presentation. A good speaker, but I left wanting more.
