I was at my taxidermist the other day and I noticed he was mounting as many small deer as he was big deer. I thought it was pretty cool that there are people that are excited about killing any deer and not concerned with antlers only.

I've got at least 3 mounted that I would never dream of mounting now. I agree it's cool that people are still excited about a first or a young persons big buck or some other reason to mount not only for a "book" set of antlers.

This was my first bow kill. Taken with a Carrol Gentleman Jim take down recurve at 41 yards ( I was younger and dumber then). I'm on the right. He was a humongous three pointer. I didn't do any mounting as a neighbor's dog ran off with the antlers..

It would have to be a reaaly good one before I'd do a mount. I really don't care that much.
