I live in Pike County which was hit HARD by EHD last year. So far this year I have seen very few deer compared to what I used to see prior to Sepetember-07. What deer I do see are young deer. I have only seen a few small bucks so far. How about other counties that were hit by last years EHD. Are you guys seeing much. It looks like it's going to be another bummer year for me around home again this year.

It will take a few years inorder for the Deer Population to increase in the areas/counties EHD hit the hardest.

Yep, I'm thinking about 3-4 years to start seeing the quality of bucks that I was seeing prior to the 07 outbreak .

My area is about a mile south of the Pike county line.
We are getting some on the trail cameras, but it still early.
Fingers are crossed that they bounce back..

The bucks seem to have bounced back as well as can be expected in the areas I have had my trail cams. I've been getting photos of some older bucks, a few 2.5 year olds, and a ton of 1.5 year olds at most locations so far. The bucks that would have made up the 2.5 and 3.5 year old age groups seem to have been the hardest hit. I'm also see a close to normal(for this time of year) number of does in most locations but very few of them seem to have fawns.

For those of you that can remember back in 1986 Ehd hit hard down in the southern part of the state like last yr. In 87 and 88 the does were having twins and triplets in record #'s. They will take care of themselves. I went saturday to put in my trail cam and seen two different does with twins. A buddy of mine in Franklin Co. has seen several does with twins and triplets and has one set of twins on video.
