Does anyone know.... did Humminbird buy out Bottom Line??? I've got an older Bottom Line Tournament Champion finder that needs a new xducer, but I can't find a web page for Bottom Line. Any advice?

My Grandpa bought this finder back in 94....... at that time he paid over $800 for it, and by the standards of the day it was a great finder. Now, you can get something equal to it for $200, but my Grandpa (being 80 years old) still thinks that HIS finder is the best out there...blah blah blah..... so, rather than argue with him to trash it and get a new one, I'm trying to get this xducer issue fixed. I've taken the unit apart and I haven't found any loose connections or wires, however the transducer will not work. Anyway, I'm trying to get it figured out for him..... If it were me I'd slap a nice Lowrance Charter / Finder in the boat and be ready to roll!

Thanks Keith..... I found that site, but they don't have the model listed that I am searching for.

Travis, I know this will sound ignorant but I talked to a friend of mine who works for Lowrance and he suggested that you should LIGHTLY sand the bottom of the transducer with 280 or 300 grit sandpaper. Kevin
