I found some dust bowls in a cleared log landing yesterday while scouting and shroom hunting.
would they be a good place to setup in the late morning or afternoon???

I would have to say yes.

There is a good chance that the dust bowls where made by hens. I've heard turkeys will 2 or 3 times a day and if the hens are dusting there is a good chance there will be a gobbler with them. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.
I have never seen them in the woods before but was thinking they tend to visit them in the afternoon for some reason?
It is a nice open log landing high on a ridge so I might give it a spot later this week. It is on public land and just up a logging road from a parking area so I bet it gets a lot of pressure though....
