Got out on the river this evening in between the showers.. We saw a break in the clouds and took advantage of it. Water is down to 21.4' That aint good by far,, but you take what you can get. Hugged back in a small bay and found a nice mess of them.. Here is a couple of the first ones,, enough to get the blood going from a LONG winter.. And then this HOG slammed it and dern near took my rod from me,, wasnt expecting that hard of a hit for sure. Measured in a just a tick under 18".. So, close,, but I mean like 17 and 31/32.... Nice and FAT.. didnt weigh,, but I would guess over 4lbs.. Real happy to see my old friends the smallies again this year!!! Here is a shot my bud took before we loaded up...
