I went to see some turkey sign and maybe get a gobble last night. What I seen was about 40 deer in the field and had one walk down into the woods about 30 yards from me and stomp, snort, bob and weave at me for at least a 1/2 hour! By the time he gave up on getting me to move I had a numb left foot a acking tailbone from a big chunk of bark from the tree I was leaning against and thought I was gonna die from the sinuses draining! But man did I have a blast just watching deer after deer come into the field. I had 3 come from behind and cross my trail, hit the edge of the field blowing their head off and the others mostly ignored them. They finally moved on into the heard. I belive I have found God's golden coral buffet for deer!

I know the feeling. There is nothing like being pinned down by critters!

Lol. That happened to me and my hunting buddy while going back to our setups this last fall. Seemed like we waited forever.

The worst critter pin down I've ever had was turkey hunting. I was sitting on the ground, it was just breaking day and a skunk saunters right toward me. He took his sweet time rooting around me for about a half hour about 6-15 inches away from me. I had no idea I sat on a skunk smorgasbord.
Holding still is an understatment.
