I heard 80% of the deer in Indiana died from this disease. Did anyone else hear this? I was wondering if it is true. That seems like alot of deer if it is true.

I heard it was localized and the number was closer to 15-20% in those areas hit.

It very well could have killed 80% of the deer in some areas...and maybe that is only 15-20% of the total herd...like others our deer numbers are way down in daviess county. we havent seen any mature doe, very few mature bucks, all of the small deer taken this year have been buttons. with no mature doe around they are not getting dispersed.
