I had never taken a picture of my latest deer mount until the other day so I thought I would share it along with my other. I am sure there have been other threads along this line in the past so I appoligize, but I went back a few pages and didn't see one. Feel free to put up some of your mounts, I never tire of seeing them. I have only had two done so far. The first was my first bowkilled buck taken in 2003. He was a 118" 9 pointer. The second was my 2005 shotgun buck that made the Indiana Book. He was 151 2/8". Both these mounts hang in our cabin in Kentucky, even though all the deer there were taken in Franklin County, Indiana. Both my mounts were done by Hoosier Trapper in Greenwood.

Nice deer metamorahunter... I really like the 1st pic of the 2nd deer.. Need a closer shot of that one from that angle. What's his inside spread?
Makes them Kentucky deer look a little small and inbred... ;D

Thanks, Inside spread was 18".
My camera is a cheapo! I could hardly see what I was shooting. I wasn't sure what kind of pictures I got until got home and put them on the computer. Maybe Santa will bring me a new camera!

I'd post a few of my nicer mounts, but inevidibly someone would accuse me of relishing Big Antlers. Not gonna go there...

Woody, I'm starting to get confused! Are those pics of the taxidermy studio you sent me or your den? ;D I sure love those antelope mounts! Bow or gun? The only one that I have killed came from Ekalaka, MT. He broomed his prongs off rubbing metal fence posts, so I did a European mount on him. The deer were sure plentiful there, but we didn't have tags for them at the time.

American Taxidermy in Boonville does all mine and Woodmaster's mounts. The pronghorns were both Wyoming bow kills. The only gun hunting I do out of state is over in KY. That might change next year if Woodmaster can get me into one of his honey holes in Illinois . .

That's a pretty impressive collection of bucks Woody! All those taken in Indiana? Nice taxidermy work too..
I'm having a Mackenzie semi-sneak, left turn, droop done with the buck I shot this year. I guess Mackenzie is a popular form. My Taxidermist uses them also. I was wanting a paticular Van Dykes form, but he insisited on Mackenzie.

All are Hoosier animals except the pronghorns, the coyote and two black bears. The "ivory tip" pronghorn went 79 /8 P & Y.... The other was right at 75" P & Y... .
