As a sportsman let me first say that I appreciate all you guys in green do. I wish you wern't spread so thin. Now my question.
This happened to me 2 years ago.
While afternoon hunting during the muzzleloader season in the Daviess Co. river bottoms I approached my truck which was well off the county road on private property. As I started to unload my gear I hear a voice. This person did not immediately identify himself as a ICO. It was dark, I was by myself in an area noted for meth, and poachers I became immediatelyconcerned. As this person came forward I was relieved to see it was an ICO. Question. should this ICO have immediately identified himself as an ICO?
By the way I was legal and I told the CO to come back more often.
Second case.
A friend of mine was hunting deer in Gibson Co. this year. He had a ICO sneak up to his tree stand location through the brush and was he [ICO] was not wearing orange.
I realize the job of an ICO is to catch bad guys but how safe is the two situations above?
