Well the only thing I saw was a nice buck right before I got to the entrance; he was crossng back into the park from a farm.
There was very little shooting and only 1/3 of the people drawn showed up today; there wasn't much moving and no one in there to get them up and going. I guess the full moon last night and the breeze today hurt us.

I shot a 150+ main frame 8 with split g2's an the left and a double split g2 on the right at 8:30 this morning. Before I got out of the tree a doe came within 30 yards, but busted me before I could get a shot. I got down and went after my buck and the guy on the next ridge had shot and claimed him. I got back in the stand for a few hours before my feet got cold. When I was packing up the climber a 135+ walked up within 20 yards or so before he caught me. I didn't see him untin he was heading the other way.
I hadn't seen a deer all gun season and I have a day like this. Good luck to all who go tomorrow, I'll be nursing my sinuses at home.

So tell us more about the buck someone else shot? Was it justified? Did he put the killing shot on it ?

Here's the reason I asked ! I was the second shooter on this buck at Tippecanoe State park last year. This guy was set up closer to me than I knew and he shot, I thought he missed when the buck came past me I dropped it. He got a little excited thinking I was going to take his buck. There was one hole...mine in the side I shot him in. But when I rolled the buck over the first hunter had indeed shot him and would have kileld him had I not dropped him.

I followed good blood for about 70 yards and it just quit. When I saw the holes the "extra" was in the neck. His deer....no problem. If my "off" shot was 1" lower he would have dropped in his tracks. I found a limb I glanced off of.

Well good, I was afraid it was another of those stories of a "hunter" who had shot a dead buck and then claimed it. I just don't see how anyone could justify that whole deal.

12-4-06 I didn't see anything until about 10:45am, I had two does come running in. I lifted my gun but they never stopped to give me a shot, I had my muzzle loader so I didn't want to waste my shot. My buddy was down the creek from me and they were running his direction, I notified him on the radios we had and he got one of them. About an hour later I had a six pointer come in to my left, he crossed the creek then stopped for me to shoot. He ran about 40 yards and dropped. 12-5-06 At about 9:00 I saw 2 does come down the ridge across from me to the left, they never came closer than 150 yards and I brought my shotgun today, may have had a shot if I had my muzzle loader. Ended up leaving at 10:00.
