Possible new Kansas Non-Typical state record. ________________________________________ I do not know the hunter or anyone affiliated with this deer. I found this on another site. "A buddy of mine was hunting in kansas two weeks ago, he saw this deer three times over five days. The deer came with in forty yards the first morning he saw him but could not get a good shot. The land owner sent him these pic's of the deer. the deer was killed on 11/29/06 at 1:30 pm. The deer green scored 277 4/8, this would make him the new kansas state record with a gun from what i understand. This is one unbelievable deer!"

A New Legend Emerges December 6, 2006 From the B & C site....
Newly trained Official Measurer Gerald Rightmyer was hunting in Morris County, Kansas this fall when he crossed paths with a buck that nearly defies description. The incredible mass, unique droptines, and great beams make this buck almost mythical. Unofficial green score on this tremendous deer is 285-3/8 gross and 269-1/8 net. Should that score hold anywhere close, it would become the second-largest deer in Kansas history. The state record, taken by Joseph H. Waters in Shawnee County in 1987, scores 280-4/8 points.
Congratulations, Gerry, on a truly fantastic Boone & Crockett trophy!
