Here is by usual pattern. what is yours? Starting in January after deer season closes, I start thinking about fly fishing for steelhead In about March, I start getting the turkey season jones on. I will get my gear ready and play with my calls. Usually in about July I start thinking hard about deer season again. Meanwhile I am doing the shooting sports (Indoor archery, 3D) This year, I plan to start reloading for my pistol. I need to figure out how to do all of this and not work ;D

After Deer season I'll take my son out for some small game for the rest of Jan. Than in March or Feb it to a Game Preserve for some Chukar or Pheasants. Than I start thinking about Walleye and Lake Salmon for the spring and summer time. I also do a lot of Skeet and Trap shooting year around with my boy.

When deer season closes, I haul in ALL my treestands and store them in the shed. After I complete that task, I begin a rather hectic boat, sport show schedule.
I normally make trips with my fishing sponsors to Harrisburg, Pa, Louisville, Ky, Nashville, Tn, Atlanta, Geo, Cincinnati, Oh, Cleveland, Oh, Indianapolis, In, Grand Rapid, Mi, Minneapolis, Mn, and sometimes, New York.
That schedule takes me right up to the beginning of my 80-90 tournament bass fishing schedule and when that is done, I begin my "Deer Hunting Seminar" schedule and that takes me right up to the early bow season and here we are again...
Yes.. I have a ROUGH LIFE but I ENJOY IT.. Bud

I'll be thinking about shooting indoor archery league for a while. I've been working on building some box calls and rehabbing a Winchester model 94 30-30, so that will occupy the other 4 nights of the week.
Starting in early April, I'll be putting in enough OT at work I'll have to find time to even think about turkeys, but they will be on the mind pretty hard! ;D I plan on scouting some more this winter for the turkey's, so I only have to make minimal scouting forays into the woods in the spring.
Around that time I'll have to start mowing the yard again, preparing the garden, etc, etc, etc. Somewhere around July I'll start thinking about deer season.
And to throw another ingredient into the mix this year, Dad and I are going to try to go hog hunting in SC this winter too...

After deer season I start trapping coyote and fox. Trap coyote until March. In April I'll go on my Early turkey hunt somewhere, last year it Black Kettle in Oklahoma,Lots of Turkey scouting in April and then Hunt all Indiana Turkey season, I normally get out to the woodshop and start making slate turkey calls in March on my lathe I'll do that until May. In May I'll also start fishing for bass until late June. Late june I'll start working on my food plot and get it planted for fall. Set my deer cameras out in July and start to monitor them and scouting for nice bucks and tree stand locations. Then hunt starting Oct 1st and do it all over again.....

Start one of several "winter projects," among other things. I will chase squirrel and rabbits if a pal pulls through and maybe hit Flatrock shooting preserve a time or two. Then before we know turkeys will be struttin'.

I'll concentrate on waterfowling hunting first for a couple of weeks. Then I'm heading to Texas for a deer/hog hunt. After that I will be rabbit hunting nearly every weekend until the end of January. During that time I will also be scouting for deer and using my trail cam to evaluate what survived. I'll start shed hunting in Feb. and fishing in early March if the weather allows it.

Build a new cabinet for the laundry room. Tie enough jigs to last all next year. Practice, practice, pratice with the bow. Go to Arizona. Fish someplace, ice if we get it or open water if not.

It's long since over for me, so I've already started these:
Continue training my Lab pup for shed hunting.
Run trail cams until late March/end of shedding.
Work on finding some hunting ground in IL.
Shooting new archery equipment.
Do some hardwater fishing in January if weather permits.
Prepare for late February Tennessee boar hunt with my son.
Do elk/moose/muley/sheep license apps for various western states.

.....maybe hit Flatrock shooting preserve a time or two. Then before we know turkeys will be struttin'. I hunted Flatrock earlier last month, Merrill is planning on taking the Mrs. to New Zealand for a wedding anniversary and is planning on shutting down early in 07. Forgot if it was end of Jan or Feb. So just an FYI.
