After about 3 days of hearing my cousin gripe and complain about not seeing any bucks where he's hunting,I gave in and took him out to my spot near Leesville yesterday morning.I even let him hunt the Area I usually hunt, just to be a nice guy..Around 8am I heard him shoot, and he got this decent 8 pointer I passed up 4 or 5 times during bow season. It had a 15" spread and had good mass,It dressed out @ 205lbs..I've seen a couple" BOONERS "they just seem to be a little further out than what I want to shoot.I seen a really nice one this morning, but came up short again..I'm trying to come up with something different of a plan before season goes out,and it's driving me crazy..

I don't mind taking people hunting with me..It's just when they start wanting to take over a place and don't stay where I put them, that I don't like. When we were hauling that buck out my cousin started telling me all these plans he had for that place out there, and I was like hold on a minute...He's talking about making atv trails,"his spots"(he's the type of guy that likes to cut you off so he get's the first shot) and "my spots" when to hunt it,when not to..I'm good friends with this woman's son, she's let me hunt there for the last 8 years and let's no one else in there..I like to have fun when I go hunting,I get that by hunting by myself..I didn't even get a thank you from the whole deal, just when are we going back?He was suppose to take me out to his hunting area this weekend, but as I already guessed,he's too busy..I just hope he enjoys that buck, because he'll never take another one out there..I hate being a nice guy sometimes..Sorry for the rant,I feel better now

Choose your hunting partners wisely.....
Sounds like this guy is out for one person and one person only - himslef.
Ditch him..

I wouldn't take him again. That stuff doesn't go to far. It is actually frustrating.
