Your application for a permit to hunt in Georgia's Alligator Quota Hunt was not selected this year. Please note that your online account has been credited with an additional priority point. Well that gives me two points, maybe next year. It will give them another year to grow. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Have you ever consdered Florida? I think it is easier to get a tag down there. Mama can bask in the sun while you're chasing the reptiles. Timex is trying to line up a crossbow gator hunt there. You can borrow my crossbow.

Never thought about taking mama along. Maybe if I don't tell her I'm gator hunting I can talk her into getting in the water and doing a little kicking and splashing. Ah I best first check the regulations first it may be considered baiting.

You might want to check into Louisianna. There are a lot of gators there also. You might even check into using a guide there. They know where the big ones are and ususlly have tags for you.

Art,
Where I go hog hunting in Florida you cross an old bridge across a small river on the lease. Its deep around the bridge, maybe 4-5 foot and there is always a big gator laying on the bank. He about 10-12 ft long. He was there in January but in May when we cross the bridge I ask my friend where the gator was? He said the owner of the land shot him because he ate one of his cows.
When hunting hogs there you don't see them in the flag ponds but you hear them calling, especially in the evening. Once I had to track a hog in knee deep swamp with a small light in one hand and my .38 Special in the other, talk about scary! I knew any second I was going to step on a big ol' gator.
My friend who lives in Florida know some guys who guide hunt gators if you are interested. h.h.
