There are several cartridges that would qualify, but .30-06 would be the one I'd choose. It comes in several factory loads and can be hand-loaded to suit almost any use.

Antelope shots are anywhere from 50 to 600 yards, so you'll want a flat shooting iron for those critters. Not much cover out there to get close a lot of times.
Bears will be mostly close range, and aren't a lot harder to kill than a big whitetail. Hit right, just about any centerfire will do the job.

Probably the best antelope gun is the .243 followed by the 25.06, either one of these guns will shoot a long ways. For bear .270, , 280, 30.06, .308, 303, 7mm08, 7mm mag, 300 win mag...etc just pick one. h.h.

Doesn't take much to kill an antelope, and a bad shot with something big can really wreck some meat. I use a .270 Win with 130 grain bullets, but you could get by with something as small as a .243 or 25-06 just fine. As stated above, shots are likely to be 2-300 yards, so you need a good flat shooter, and most importantly, you need to know how to use it.
Black bear aren't all that hard to kill either. The only one I ever shot was killed with a .300 Weatherby with 180gain bullet at about 150 yards, which rolled him right over. If it's spot & stalk in the west, you'll want something that can reach out a couple hundred yards, .270, 30-06,or anything in that range would be fine. If it's stand sitting over bait the shots are likely to be 75 yards or less. You could get by with a huge variety of calibers; muzzle loaders, shotgun w/ slugs, .44 mag, etc. However .... that same .270 or 30-06 will do the job at short range also, just adjust the scope for a 50 yard zero.

243 or 270 on the antelope, there both flat shooting and have more than what you need to put one down. As for the bear, 300 mag, or 300 mag, or maybe a 300 mag, OK...OK.... I like my 300mag
