The guy I hunt with in Pa told me he went to his cabin last evening for a couple hours and seen three bear within 2 miles of the cabin. I've been hearing lots of bear sighting reports the last couple weeks. Looks like we may have another good kill.

Any good PA public land around there? That is all we hunt and actually I would like to see allot more hunters in the area. The problem is finding lodging that you don't need to drive quit awhile to get to your hunting spot. That's where I have it good, I walk out the cabin and start hunting. Are you interested in a hunt? Send me a PM if so.

I copied this from Ebay. I can give a guy the 3 day firearms hunt for under $400 and that includes lodging and meals. I feel real sorry for the one who buys this. Now if these bears are on a big piece of private property and they're being baited he may have a chance. But if the local CO finds out about this hunt I am willing to make a bet the area will be closely monitored.
This is a hunt of a lifetime, and with a starting bid at only $3,500, a chance at a world record. This is a guided 1 on 1, 5 day trophy black bear hunt in South West Pa, with Bad Company Guide Service, with 30 years experience Hunting North American Big Game. 2 days bow (Nov. 15, 16, 2006) and or 3 days firearms (Nov. 20-22, 2006).This hunt will take place in PA WMU 2C. You will be hunting the same area that the new Boone and Crocket pending world record was harvested. This is a FAIR CHASE, Spot and Stalk hunt only, and ALL PA GAME LAWS APPLY. This is NOT a guaranteed hunt. There is no baiting allowed by law in PA, or on this hunt. This is a very physically challenging hunt that will test the mental and physical endurance of the best of hunters. You will be hunting from dawn to dusk everyday of the hunt and many miles of hiking.
Excerpt from the 2006 Pennsylvania Hunting & Trapping Digest “The largest bear was a 733-pound (actual live weight) male taken in Dunbar Township, Fayette County. That bear is presently ranked, according to skull measurements using the Boone & Crockett scoring method, as the largest bear taken by a hunter in Pennsylvania. While not yet confirmed by the Boone & Crockett Club, it is tied for the largest legally harvested black bear in the world. Only two other black bears — a skull found in Utah and a bear killed illegally in Pennsylvania in 1987 — have higher Boone & Crockett scores. Although ranked as the largest bear harvested in Pennsylvania, it was not the heaviest. In 2003, an 864-pound male was taken in Pike County.”
Already this year, a number of black bears in the 700 lb plus range have been observed in the hunt area, and 2 bears that could challenge the new pending Boone and Crocket world record. Again, this is not a guaranteed hunt. Due to the short season, I will do the best of my ability guide the hunter to a quality trophy bear. But it is the hunter’s responsibility to choose, harvest or pass on bears seen. Due to the extreme nature, short season, and challenge of this hunt. This auction is for a 1 on 1 hunt only for the complete Pa bear season. One hunter and one guide only per day of the hunt. Winning bidder(s) must sign a release of liability and a general health screen form, and be over 18 years of age before hunt date.
Hunt will only include: (1) 1 on 1 guide service for the complete bear season, 2 days archery, 3 days firearms. (Winning bidder may split hunt days with other hunters, as long as they have a PA hunting license and bear tag and sign all required release and health screen forms)
(2) Transportation to and from hunt area to lodging and local airport pick-up if needed. (Pittsburgh International Airport)
(3) Weekly scouting updates, trail cam photos, lodging and local food info, up till the day of the hunt. (4) Skinning, packing, and local processing of game. NO Trophy FEE, All of the above is included at the final ending auction Price. Not included: (1) Lodging (2) Rental car (3) Meals (4) Game taxidermy or shipping cost of meat and cape. PA resident adult hunting $20.00 PA resident bear $16.00 PA non-resident adult hunting $101.00 PA non-resident bear $36.00 If you have ANY questions about this hunt, or would like PA Hunting license Info, and Lodging Recommendations, please email me.
