Zumbo encounters aggressive bears in Alberta…………From Zumbo's article it appears these AB bears haven't had much exposure to humans and don't associate pain and problems with human-set baits. And also there do seem to be a passel of bears around too. outdoorlife.blogs.com/zumbo/2006/05/zumbo_live_a_be.html

I got this from a bear biologist on another hunting group that I belong to.
This bear is acting just like many "fed" bears. They undoubtedly have been feeding it, probably banging cans etc. to let him know that the foods comin.
Bears like this go from shy and meek when first finding human food (or bait), then get more bold and eventually could end up bold AND aggressive.
Of course, there is a continuum of bear behavior and not all bears will act aggressive. But, it's a fact that many fed bears evolve into aggressive animals. Plus, they can never be "changed". They have to be killed one way or the other when this happens.
