From another site..I had a hunter shoot this boar today. It went totally ballistic after the first shot and tried to kill about 6 of us repeatedly. It mowed down small trees while people were hanging in them and snapping them like toothpicks. 5 shots from a 7 magnum and 4 12 gauge slugs and he finally went down. All but one of the shots were right in the sweet spot but he wouldn’t go down. It was filmed for a TV show so you should see it on the Outdoor Channel, Men’s and Sportmen’s channel in the not so distant future. He was weighed at the local Co-op on certified scales at 580 pounds. mbchoate@twlakes.net

WOW! What a beast. That pig would really put the hurts on a guy if it took a pound of lead to but him down.

HH,
The guide ( on TN Deer he is "Hog Guide") said the boar wasn't cut. He just said he was a freak of nature.
I couldn't tell by the picture..

ww,
most of the hogs in Florida are ferel hogs. a big boar usually wont get over 250 or so pounds unless they are cut. i saw two over 300 lbs and both were cut. they set traps which are steel gate panels with a swinging door with corn inside. they cut the boars and tag all the sows and piglets. the biggest bar hog they have killed is just over 400 lbs and thats a big boy. i think Russian hogs get bigger than the ferel hogs. h.h.
