Include all bucks and does and any method of weapon counts. Mines an approximate but I'm guessing about 40.

My son used to keep track of the number of deer I killed and he would say "Dad I am getting close to catching up with you" I happened to shoot 4 deer the next season and he quit counting. I have never made deer hunting a numbers game. I don't believe that a large "score" makes one a better deer hunter than another. One of the best I know doesn't shoot many deer even though he could. He is just real selective in the deer he does shoot. If my family has not put many in the freezer, I shoot a few more to help out. Otherwise I'm going to shoot a nice young fat deer for myself and then hunt a wall hanger. I don't really know how many I have shot. More than 30 and Less than 50? would be my best guess. I remember the misses and the blown opportunities and the times when I did it just right and the lucky ones I got in spite of myself. That's what makes deer hunting the addiction that it is.

Ive killed over 50 and under 70. Before the OBR I average about 5 a year counting archery, gun, muzzleloader and bonus permits. Some years more with the park and military hunts. I give a lot of deer meat away to a couple of families and some to older people that cant hunt anymore. No matter how many I kill the meat never goes to waste. h.h.

Not wasting the meat is the key...

Well.. I have been at it awhile. I started bowhunting in 1964 chasing those critters all across Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsyvania, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky,
So far, I have been fortunate enough to harvest 113 with bowhunting equipment and 87 with muzzleloader. (I took one with a 1978 Dodge Power Wagon truck but that one did NOT count..except for raising my insurance..)
GOOD LUCK and SAFE HUNTING.. Bud Fields

About 11 years ago I started "saving" the metal bands they issue when you check your deer. I have 19 of them, I have no idea how many I harvested in the 9 years up to that point.
I have one set of "small" antlers that looks like a Christmas tree. Silver, red, orange, yellow, blue metal tags hanging everywhere from them....lol

I've only been hunting for about 4 years. My first year I missed an 8pt with my rifle. My second year I saw didly squat and my third year I shot 3 does with my rifle. This year will be my fourth year hunting. I think. Not 100% sure.

I too am a meat hunter . My deer never go to waste . I harvested 20 deer before the metal tags appeared and have saved the metal ones ever since so all I have to do is count my tags and add 20. Makes it easy to keep track. Total to date with all weapons and various out of state hunts is 128. Most in one year was 13. Looking forward to Saturday!

2005 marks my 20th year of deer hunting. I've tried to keep track along the way, (for what reason I have no idea) and I'm sure I left a few out out here & there, but I'm somewhere around the 75+ range.

Six for me. Three does and three bucks. Four with a shot gun and two with a bow.
This is my 7th year of deer hunting.
