If you've never been a fan of heart meat try this out.
Not sure if you guys have this in the states(Fish Crisp) but if you do:
- Cut heart into 1/4"-1/2" thick slices. - Wet with egg wash - Place meat into baggy of fish crisp and shake - Place meat on plate - In heavy frying pan melt butter and sautte onion - When onion is translucent add heart slices - Fry on both sides till fish crisp is golden brown do not over cook no more than 5-7 minutes a side. This will give you a nice mild tasting dish. I repeat do not over cook. Over cooked heart goes very chewy.

I have eaten out of a crock pot and broiled like pot roast. Very good. I might try the fried version.

A stuffed venison heart is a favorite of mine , I also like it for making burritos , slow simmered marinated deer heart makes some yummy ones .

I love the heart. I usually fry it up the next day for lunch. I'll have to try that recipe. Some of mine have an X in them though. ;D Actually I shoot Thunderheads so I guess it is actually a Y shape.
