Yesterday , I scoped out a mature doe .... she was using a secondary trail to the apple tree . A quick relocate with my climber today and success ! The smaller does and fawns took the regular route ... the matriarch took the secondary trail and passed me at 8 yards ... she was at full alert but the wind was right and I wistled a 2216 with a 130 grain Wasp Can Lock thru her ... perfect double lung ! She was wound up at the time and took off head down into the swamp approx 65-70 yards into the thickest stuff she could get into ! The arrow looked good ...No problem finding the blood trail , she was spraying it high on the trees .. I dragged her out and put my equipment by her for a field shot ... She had a hoove on her the size of a nice buck ! Field dressed and ready for transport ... Off to the butcher .... see the lucky horse shoe !  Another beauty morning in the field .... I love it when a plan comes together !
