I fish that area a bunch. All the rain they've had, plus cold weather has sabotaged my weekend fishing trips to the area. Last year I was doing good down there in March, this year the water hasn't gotten warm quick enough. Finally got a nice mess of crappie this weekend. It will be getting good, just need some warm days.

I've spent some time down there 2 weekends ago and hammered the bass..........my uncle lives down there and has been doing really good the last couple weeks. The warm weather this week will fire things up. The water temps on Bass lake were in the mid 50's 2 weeks ago so they should be just about perfect now.

Just got back. Cleaned 28 crappie and 14 bluegill. The crappie were real nice, quite a few twelve inchers.

I have only fished a couple of lakes down there, one was cemetery, don't remember the other one. Only caught 3 or 4 on cemetery, the only thing I got at the other was a real nice titanium spinner bait. With out trying to steal someones fishing spot name 3 or 4 that are pretty good. May try duck or bass this afternoon.

Most all of the bigger lakes down there hold good fish. Catching them isn't always easy. I work pretty hard at it and often hit 3-5 lakes in a long day. Keep moving until I find something that works. The biggest problem most folks have is figuring out how to fish gin clear water. It takes a different, more sneaky, tactful approach. If you can see the fish, they can see you, and they will be tough to catch. I like light line, clear bobbers, rarely use a sinker, etc. Real "natural" presentations is the key.

Troll beatle spins way back behind your boat along those steep banks in the ultra clear water. Many times we see the fish passing by and catch it when the bait swims by. That's the only way I could do any good on those ulta clear and steep bank pits.
Usually catch a bunch of short bass but some dandy gills too. It's all fun on the light tackle.
