Awesome Kevin!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful coloration on that steelhead! Back when I was a wee-lad me and some High School buddies went up to Trail Creek to try and catch some of them rascals. We got skunked, but it sure looks like you know what you're doing! What's all that white crap in your boat? ?

I tried last week on the Joe with a Fly Rod. I wish I knew the water was going to be up so high. It was hard to wade out. Should have took a boat and spawn.

Took a young man out today for his second ever steelie trip. All I did was clear rods when he was fighting fish. He went 4 out of 6. Not bad for a twelve year old. The fish were on the smaller side but he had a good time. As I was unhooking one fish another rod went off. Timothy and his uncle Charlie Water temp is 48 degrees and very high but clear. All fish from the last three days hit plugs. No spawn bite. The next five days are going to be hot.(fishing)

Keith, they are pretty much the same except that steelhead trout live in the lake and come into the river to spawn and grow much bigger than Rainbows.

Same species, just like uglyduckling said rainbows are land locked and steelhead runs from open water to creeks to spawn. Like canada geese locals and migrators
