Anyone been fishing any of the strip pits there yet?I'm ready to catch some of those big blue gills and crappie.

Last weekend. Caught a nice mess 50/50 gills and crappie.

I have been to a couple of the Greene pits, airplane, cemetary, one other that I can not remember the name of and have not cought anything. Which pits are you fishing?

I fish those pits down there that have water in em, and trees around them. Other than that, I'm sworn to secrecy.
Seriously ... Plenty of good fish in most of those pits, you just need to learn how to fish them. Biggest challenge is dealing with the gin clear water. Makes the fish spooky. Overcast days, light line, stay back away from the fish, fish without bobbers or use clear bobbers, etc.

we were fishing some pits last summer and were slamming bass after bass and monster gills..Wampler is too bad to fish..

About all the pits down here are good fishing in the spring, just gotta know how to fish em.
