The lease I was in last year expires today. The land was not productive at all so we decided not to renew and have disbanded.
I am looking for land to hunt and would like to see if there is anyone out there who have room on their land or in their lease for another hunter.
I will only bowhunt this year. I have taken several deer with the muzzleloader but am dedicated to getting my first bow kill.
Please let me know if you have room or know of someone that has room in or around central indiana.
Thank you......

Hmmmm....
I was once told that folks lease the same spots FOREVER.
I once asked about folks leasing, shooting all the deer then abandoning the lease for some poor soul to pick up the following year. I was told it NEVER happens!

A new member is looking fo a place to hunt.
Don't try and turn this into a "leasing thread".
If you can't help him out, don't post anti-leasing stuff.
Thanks..

I was told it NEVER happens! Your correct....someone shooting ALL the deer off of a piece of property is impossible. So it never happens.

Perhaps deerdemon is trolling so his account will be locked and then he can say "see, look how they treated me"? What do you expect to accomplish by this kind of behavior?

The only help I could offer is a suggestion to search web sites like Basecampleasing.com
I was not attempting to run the guy down for looking for a lease, lots of folks are doing it.
I was just pointing out that folks DO abandon their leases, when they have a off year in deer harvests and sightings.
NOT everyone leases to provide better habitat for the wildlife, some folks view the value by the animals killed.
""The land was not productive at all so we decided not to renew and have disbanded"".............................
Is proof to that statement

We need to work at improving the area we hunt. Working with the land owner can be a productive way to maintain hunting privileges and improve the local herd. I do agree with camby in that too often people do move on to greener pastures with little regard for the landowner. It is a natural progression. Crowded public land to the first lease then.... the next.... If your a good steward of the land then you should leave it as you found it. Then when you do move on you do it with a clear conscience. Its natural to want to improve one position in life as well as the woods....Just my two cents.....

Can I make a small edit to your post?
