I'm not much of a risk taker anymore these days.I'll usually stay home or stay on the ground on a real windy day.

I think I'm gonna try it this evening. Last time I didnt go out due to the wind, the farmer said he had seen 15 deer standing in the field having a good ol time.

You didn't miss anything this morning.... I sat in my stand from 7am until almost 3 pm and all I saw was 1 bushytail.... decided it was time to leave when a big limb fell out of a tree about 50 yards from me. My buddy was with me and when I dropped him at his house he went straight back out and sat again and said he saw 11 deer total but none of them came close enough to him to shoot.

I don't mind hunting windy days, but Sunday's winds were just a bit much. It's hard keeping sight pins fixed on your target when the treestand is making 1'-2' lateral movement.

I went for a bit too. Didn't see nothing but i did a small drive toward Chadd and found 2 fresh scrapes. Apparently the drive was useless other wise. But Chadd also did alot of moving around? headed back to the house @ 3 PM, I had company coming for a deer roast dinner!
