Do you often hear forest landowners complain that they have a difficult time finding knowledgeable financial and legal advice on forest-related issues? We do – that’s why we have created a seminar, “Timber as an Investment: Tax and Estate Planning” – to address the needs of landowners in Indiana.
This seminar, sponsored by the Indiana Forestry & Woodland Owners Association and Raymond James & Associates, is aimed squarely at those professional accountants and attorneys who work with forest landowners. We want to give these professionals training that will allow them to advise their clients on estate planning and tax issues related to owning timberland.
We are asking your help to publicize this seminar. We would like landowners to call their accountants and attorneys and make them aware of the seminar and ask them to attend. As a bonus, continuing education credit is available. While we aren’t excluding landowners, we prefer that they attend with their professionals or wait for a similar landowner seminar tentatively scheduled for spring 2006.
Thank you for your help in getting the word out.
Regards,
Liz Jackson
