I've always wanted to buy a decoy, but i'm afraid i might shoot it in disgust from not seeing any real deer!

Great price for a good decoy.
I do not use the Montana deer decoys, but I do use a couple of their turkey decoys. They are awesome.
I use the Renzos for deer hunting (only because I have a source gets them for me), but the Montana decoys would work just as well, if not better.
If I did not have a pile of the Renzos, I'd get a couple Montana decoys at that price.

Ive used my feeding doe Renzo twice and both times the deer ran away as soon as they saw it. i wiped it down and sprayed it with scent killer, used doe urine and both times the deer were up wind, when they saw the decoy they ran. both times it was does. i haven't used it since. h.h.

I have one that I used for the first time opening day , it's the same model in Semisneak's pic . A young doe busted me , and as she ran away she paused several times to snort as though warning the deke that I was behind the logs above "her" . ;D

Im a little leary about using mine but thought I would give it a try.The woods I hunt is creek bottoms and the deer really just meander thru. I thought the dec might draw em in. We will see.

I think decoys are kind of like grunt tubes, rattling horns, doe and fawn bleat calls, sometimes the work and sometimes the don't. i might try my decoy again and see what happens. h.h.

hh hit it on the head. They are a tool. They work sometimes and sometimes don't, just like scents and calls.
I've personally had GREAT success with my Renzo decoys. I've had deer in the decoys or their attention diverted by the decoys while in shooting range, more times than I've had deer turn tail and run from them.
It is like everything else, you have to know when and how to use them. You can't just go out and slap one in the field. You have to set up the situation perfectly. Play the wind, use the terrain, use scents, and play on the whitetails curiosity or sex drive.
