i bought one of the deer skinner knives years ago, paid about 80.00 for it but it always seemed i could gut about 2 deer with it then it was in need of sharpening.2yrs.ago a friend bought me one of the winchester knives with the gut hook(you can get them at wal mart for around 15.00)anyhow i thought last year i would give it a try, didnt think it would last through one deer, well its turned out to be the best knive i ever had, used it all last year on 4 deer and its sharpened and in my pack now.goes to prove that sometimes the most expensive item is not always the best.

A Browning Big-Game folder with stag handle. It has three blades, saw, main and gut hook.

Gerber Gator here. The older style though. The handle has a "boxier" feel to it than the newer ones. Probably bought it 12 or 13 years ago.

Nothing beats my good ol trusty buck knife. This is the one i use, with a 5 inch blade I use tha same, and a Wyoming knife to zip them open. Works great! I also have a gerber lockback with the camo rubber handle and drop point, works very well.

This is my trust workhorse nothing pretty but man it works. It's a Canadian made Russel belt knife from the 50's. Holds a real sweat edge. I've cleaned 5 deer in the last 2 years with this and all it needs is a little steel. I have friends that say they wouldn't want it as they like to sharpen knives.lol Someone from another fourm informed me you can still get this knife from knivesdirect.com the russel line was bought out by Grohman and is noe GrohmanRussel

Schrade Uncle Henry lockback. Keeps a good edge. Easy to sharpen. Gutted over 50 deer with it.
