I've heard anywhere from 3 to 8; unfortunately there could be ice as well.

Angela had us in the 6-9" band last night. From what I've been seeing, we'll be right on the edge of where it changes over, on the snow side. At least I hope it's snow that we get- I've had my share of ice this week already. Haven't checked the forecast yet today. Doesn't really matter; we'll get what we get and as long as it's no more than 12", we'll still be able to get out reasonably well...

The weather forecasters, here in Evansville are almost always wrong with their forcasts. Normally, if they do predict a snow event we usually end up with snow/rain mix with a few snow showers, or nothing at all.

DRS, So what is the forecast (right or wrong) for the Evansville area for Friday? I'll be driving home from Florida then. Woody, I get so many different forcasts from our three TV channels that it's anybodies guess what we will receive. My Brother says we probably won't get anything but wind, because he said we'll be in the "Dry Slot" of the storm as the low pressure will be going through us. This morning, they are receiving some snow in Western Ky. but last evening one of the weather forcasters said that Ky and points below the Ohio River will not receive any snow. They also said that Evansville will be right on the line (?) What ever that means. When driving just take your time and watch the weather.

There is a winter storm warning for Evansville ......
PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE IN THIS AFTERNOON AND INTENSIFY TONIGHT. IT WILL START AS LIGHT RAIN OR LIGHT FREEZING RAIN...BUT MAY MIX WITH LIGHT SLEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR EARLY THIS EVENING. OVERNIGHT...ESPECIALLY AFTER MIDNIGHT...IS WHEN IT WILL CHANGE TO A MORE WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND ICE. ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE IN EXCESS OF 1/4 INCH BY EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...MAKING STORM TOTAL SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS IN THE 1 TO 3 INCH RANGE...WITH ISOLATED 4 INCH AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
I think E'ville will be right on one of those lines that could possibly get all rain ..... or a baaaaad mix of rain/sleet/ice/snow.
Woody - I would try and get back to indiana before dark ...... or stay the night somewhere and wait until morning before coming into this crap overnight.

Right now, here in Evansville @ 1:23 pm, it is just cloudy and gloomy. Schools are being given a shorter day, Winterstorm watches are issued for our area; but I've yet seen one flake of snow!

Not sure what the weather will be tomorrow and we might get stuck somewhere without a motel to stay at. That is the benefit of being retired. "TRUST YOU ALL"? Absolutely...
