I wish she would leave and go back to the place that she was hatched.

My initial reaction with her was hoping she would win the Dems nominee. Sole reason is would give people a reason to get out and vote against her, but that is a double edged sword that could swing the other way.
Either way I am glad to see she is not going to be our next president.

I'm not ready to predict anything yet, it's still too early. Regardless of who the dems put up, they're horrible.

From what I understand Obama spanked her pretty soundly at Iowa, so she is obviously not as "unbeatable" as some would have you believe. Judging from the way she sniped at him at the New Hampshire debate I'd say that she's a little more concerned about her win prospects than she used to be. All in all this tells me that the voters aren't buying her masquerade as a "moderate", they see her for what she really is. I'm not comfortable with the idea of someone as green as Obama taking the nomination either, but at least he'd be the lesser of two evils.

Unsettling group of candidates this year!!!!!!!! deertracks, that has to be understatement of the year! I went to the courthouse (home from college) one year to vote absentee. Two old codgers sitting on the bench at the courthouse looked me over and saw where I was going, one of them pipes up and says "Boy, you gonna get *poop* on your shoe either way you step."

If Billary gets her feelings hurt enough that she breaks down in public, do we REALLY want this he-she in charge of the nuclear football? (Not that we needed anymore reasons to not want her in charge of anything) I've had the same feeling Duff.....hoping she gets the nod..... but it is indeed a double edge sword. Obama-Yo-Mama is just as left as she is so either would totally suck.

I sure don't want my president bursting into tears and telling someone they hurt their feelings.

Unless someone assassinates him before elections you all better get ready for the first black president of the United States. The republicans ain't got a snowballs chance in hell to take this election. Unless something changes the way the economy is heading people will go to the poles with angry minds and vote them out. h.h.

I'm inclined to believe hh is correct on this one. The republicans have no one to blame but themselves. When they controlled congress they spent just like the dems and Bush not taking a conservative stance on issues like immigration will hurt as well.

Not one person as President has ever or will ever please everybody in this Country. We have a system that has chosen the lesser of two evils for Decades and the citizens can only brace for the worse situation possible. Bush has almost managed to get his approval rating so low that a Republican can actually win with the promise of changing what has been done.
With that sunny thought, I can actually see this Country going through a term of severe unrest and upheaval over the next 10 to 20 years. If we get to the point of another Civil War is debatable, but the tension among the people sure is building.

I think HH has it wired on this presidential election, there are to many unhappy people out there and they are going to elect a demoncrat no matter who is running.

I agree with HH too. Everything in life runs in cycles, it's just too dang bad we only really have 2 choices when it comes down to it for pollitics. One group holds and office for a while and people are ready for a change.
There really isn't much separating the two parties IMO other then a symbol. Take all our money, tell us how they saved tax payers XX trillions by either raising or lowering taxes, "they" will get more jobs in the US of A and more exports, less this, more that, blah, blah, blah...kiss babies, save the old folks, save social security, fight terrorism.
And you know what it don't matter whos in office we are still doing pretty good as a county. Sure we have lulls and booms but that is life regardless of who is in charge. We still live in the best dang county.

Woody is right. Bloomberg has been making noises privately for many months regarding the possibility of running as an independent. He hasn't announced publicly, but he's being very public about rallying his allies as we read and write this thread. It's not too late for him, he's got his own money to spend and plenty of it. Personally, I hope he does, because IMO, he'll only draw votes away from the dems.
