See a bald eagle
“Eagle Watch” events are slated Jan. 12 at Patoka Lake’s visitor center east of Jasper, Ind., but pre-registration is required. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.
Visitors will travel in car caravans to hot spots where the majestic bald eagles can be found during the winter migration, but there also will be indoor events featuring Patoka’s resident eagle, C52, along with wildlife biologist John Castrale and wildlife specialist Rex Watters.
There is a $5 fee for ages 6 and up and participants should come dressed for the weather and bring binoculars, a bag lunch and cameras.
Call (812) 685-2447 to register or get more information.
