Indiana's 822,000 hunters and fishermen appear to be shelling out big bucks to bring home the game.
A new report produced by the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation says that all those Hoosier sportsmen and women spend more than $1 billion a year on their pastimes.
That might sound like quite a sum, but Indiiana ranks only 26th nationally in hunting and fishing spending, according to the report.
Texas was Number 1 with $6.6 billion and last was Hawaii at $154 million......Guess it's tough to beat surfing.

Glad this made the papers ... now maybe some fence sitting elected official will see the impact that we hunters have on the economy.

Surely that figure doesn't include all the bucks spent on property for the sole purpose of hunting or even $ spent on leases......(Uck I hate that word)
