Or banished him to a life of shame after a round of clay birds.

Might be that his computer is on the "Fritz" or just wore out.

Thanks for the concern guys. I'm still kicken' but the woods give me a licken'. I was walking out to my stand in the moonlight (I don't need no stinking light), tripped on a snag, tucked so as not to land on my bow and landed full on my shoulder. I haven't been able to draw my bow for a few weeks. I've just been moping around feeling sorry for myself. I'm over it now though. I went out last night, altered my draw a little bit, gritted my teeth and managed to fling a few arrows, so it looks like I'll be good to go this weekend. We'll be setting up our gun camp early next week and getting in a few last days with the bows before bringing the kids down for the gun opener.

Glad to see you on and that you won't miss all of bow season. Here's hoping it's a good weekend for you.

Maybe we should change our team name from Acorn stalkers to Bum Shoulders. ;D

Looks like the Acorn Stalkers made a poor draft pick this season, what with me sustaining an injury right out of the gate. Saw a semi- load of deer yesterday. Bucks are fighting and chasing in our neck of the woods. Had three does at 20-25 yds. all offering gimme shots, but guess what? Couldn't get the dang bow drawn. Guess the cold stiffened the shoulder up. Over the last three weekends, I've had a half-dozen easy opportunities at deer and just can't get the dog-goned shoulder to work for me. It's like they know I'm there and they're taunting me. I left camp last night dejected and defeated. No sense hunting if I can't close the deal. Must be the ghosts of all the deer I've taken having their revenge on me. Oh well, it's on to gun season now. Not sure if the shoulder can take the recoil though. One good thing.... I've saved plenty of deer for Jake. Looks like he may have to do all the shooting this season. Sorry Acorn stalkers, for letting you down.

Huxbux, Turn you bow down to where you can draw it. A 10 pound reduce in draw weight doesn't change much in your sight pins. But, if you wait another week you wont have to draw a bow. h.h.

LOL... I really do appreciate your concern guys, but believe me, I'll be fine. As far as I know, a bum shoulder isn't a terminal condition. We'll go after 'em with the guns now.

I'm pretty addicted to this site. If I disappeared as long as you did, it could only mean I was dead! I think that's what had everyone worried.
