I'm sick of the overplayed Geico caveman/"psychologist" commercials that advances the false stereotype that all psychologists practice some form of traditional psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and I'd like to see them stop, although I realize Geico has every right to advertise in any way they see fit. I have yet to see a Geico "psychologist" commercial reflecting someone doing CBT ("And what was going through your mind just then?")--lol! I really don't care what they do in the way of advertising as long as they stop sending me their obnoxious "switch kits" every other day or so...they're as bad as Capitol One with their junk mail!!!

I'll second that! A friend from Australia told me that all the commercials for a TV show are played the first ten minutes and then the show runs un-interrupted for 50 minutes. Wish they would do that here! Give you ten minutes to make snacks and blow off the commercials. h.h.

Ahhh but without the commercials there would be nothing but PBS programs to watch! Yea! Free TV is not REALLY free.....someone has to pay for it and it's the advertisers who foot the bill. Advertisers want you to see their message, thats what they pay for, so why would they run their messages just the first ten minutes, that wouldnt be very effective use of their money.

Bsutravis
I like PBS , but I hate the fund raiser breaks for phone donations.
I'd rather watch a Caveman commercial than the phone people.
