Hi everybody, My name is Jim Linton And I own Hunter's Shadow Video Productions, out of Henderson County Kentucky. The reason I'm posting is to ask everyone's opinion on a topic we have going on a few other websites. The question is would you pay for a professional film crew to film your hunt if it was affordable? Now by affordable I'm talking $50.00 a day to film and if you harvest an animal you would be able to choose from three different editing packages for deer and turkey hunting, ranging from $225.00(basic no frills) to$425.00(top of the line ,outdoor channel quality DVD) Our waterfowl packages are setup differently to accomadate for a small group(blind package up to 4 persons)and our(Pit package that is up to as many as ten people . ) Witch inturn will lower your individual cost.
If you don't harvest an animal your only out the $50.00.And this filming fee is determined on how far we have to travel and if we have to have lodging. Basically if your close its $50.00 a day and if we have to travel then you would be charged for travel and if we are there for more than one day, lodging cost too.
Any thoughts or opinions are welcomed. We want to learn from you and be able to offer this to anyone interested. So let er' rip!!!

Sorry I wouldn't be interested, part of the joy of going out is having the time to myself. Even hunting with a partner you're still well spead out.

Thanks for trying to help sportsmen share their hunts, but for me, hunting is expensive enough the way it is. If I could whittle my season down to the 2 days when I'm probably going to kill my deer, I'd only hunt those 2 days, and quit hunting all together, either that or become a high fenced killer, they thrive on the predictability. I'm sure someone will be interested. Good luck.

If I could only hunt and be in the woods 2 days per year I may give it up. A big part of my enjoyment is the Excitement of not knowing what is next for many days from Oct thru Dec,The taking of a Deer is just a part of the whole hunting experience. The Expense is a small price to pay for the happy rewards I get from Hunting. my neighbor ask me the other day,how much do you spend on hunting per year,I replied ,A lot of money, but about half what you spend on cigarettes.

It sounds like a great idea. I am sure you will have plenty of interested hunters, but we film our own hunts ( 2 or 3 hunts a year) when someone has tagged a buck early then they will film for the rest of us. In the event that no one tags then we all just carry our cameras and our bows and a few times and sit with in 20 yards of eachother and if the deer comes up on your side then you are the shooter if not then you are the camera man.

Sounds like a very good idea. Good luck with finding interested clients. I will be filming with my trusty Handycam.

Good idea... but me and my hunting partner film just about all of our hunts already. We bowhunt season long, and we have a decent cam. You can by fairly good easy to use editing software now adays and we have fun doing it ourselves.

Thanks for the input thats what I'm after. I'm not here to try and sell this,I'm here to learn what some hunters have to say about it and if they think it would work and to suggest what they think would make it what they would want. We know this whole film crew sounds intrusive and bulky. But it would be a hunter filming a hunter.anyone interested in viewing a resent kill footage clip can do so at www.westernkentuckyoutdoors.com. Once there goto the front porch page and scroll down to our sample clip. And also stop by our information website at www.hunters-shadowvideoproductions.comSo on that note we welcome ideas and input from anyone and will hopefully be able to show you some clips of our hunts this year as they become available.

Good idea but I like to be able to add my own little twists to the stories (like shot the deer at 200 yds running, when it was actually 5 standing) sorry couldnt ruin the stories

That is a great price! I just wish I was interested. I agree about finding a outfitter. Most hunters will not book something like this with a stranger.
