The fact that students are actually required to watch this [insert four-letter word here] in a required class before they graduate is marginally less infuriating than the fact that an opposing (and by default, correct) viewpoint is not presented each and every time this BS is shown, as happens too often in "higher education": tinyurl.com/2r9por

I cannot see how forcing kids to watch a propaganda film to pass a class can be allowed under the rules of any reputable learning institution.
It cannot be established that global warming is being caused by humans.
Did you all know:
Europe was warmer 1000 years ago than it is now, allowing grapes to be easily grown in England, and the vikings to make a living from cod fishing in Greenland? Niether can happen today because temperatures are TOO COLD.
That's just one inconvenient FACT that Mr. Bore failed to menion....

Bore-style liberal hypocricy at its finest! You better bet he selectively failed to mention it because it disputes the validity of his claims made only for self-advancement.

I'd hang myself before watching that garbage. Oh yeah? Well, I'd perform the ancient bloodletting ritual of the Mayan Kings before I'd watch it. If you're not familiar with it, it involves the spine of a sting-ray and a sensitive appendage....

Vote with your $, there are other colleges out there. If enough people did it they'd get the message.

While I agree that we are assisting in the advance of global warming, and consider it quite likely we have in fact played a major role, this seems to be completely out of line.

I know a couple people at several national student rights organizations other than this one, as well as several D.C. based conservative student think tanks that will be getting this forwarded to them. I'm sure they already know about it, but I'm going to touch base on this one.
The true crime is no discussion, just watching a film. I went to Manchester (a notoriously rabidly liberal school) , as I have said before, and was kicked out of many classes for arguing facts while professors spewed rhetoric. That is the college experience these days.
If this had happened at my school, I would have been in the Dean, the President, the professor, the local newspaper, rush limbaugh, and Fox News' ear so fast it would have made the schools head spin. Ahhhhh...sometimes I miss those days....

That is the college experience these days. Wow! And I thought IU Bloomington was bad...sounds like a terrible experience! And UIndy (where I'm doing my doctorate) isn't much better than IUB in many ways...I've sat through my fair share of one-sided "diversity lectures", etc...
