Just wondered if Channel 13 was shipping Travis off to cover this one. Sewage Truck Wreck Causes Stinky Mess Fire crews had quite a stinky mess on their hands Thursday morning after a dump truck hauling sewage collided with a minivan at Mann and Mooresville roads. According to crews at the scene, the truck had no top on it as it hauled excrement, striking the van from behind at about 9:30 a.m. The truck's load shifted on impact, rushing sewage onto and into the van, which was carrying a family, and onto the street. Decatur Township crews were working to clean up the mess. No one was injured. news.yahoo.com/s/wrtv/20070607/lo_wrtv/13459880;_ylt=Ag2n2mCRZyPmheivHJSnpDEE1vAI

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!
LMAO - uhhh, no......I am off today (Thank God!)!!!! I'm sure someone went out there on this run, although I'm not sure that the station would let them back in after being on the scene of this mess.
Thanks for the post!!! Glad nobody was injured, but the thought of a tanker of crap dumping onto a mini-van of people would raise some health concerns if they came into contact with any of the excrement. Hopefully they stayed inside till FD could spray their van clean of the crap.

Does Camby drive a honey wagon?

I'm amazed when it said that the tank portion does not have a top on it. I would think that a honey-wagon should be sealed tight to prevent something like this from happening.

Probably due to pressure from gas build up, they can't seal it. You would think there would be some kind of vent system to deal with that. But then you may have a sh-- sprinkler after an accident.

Yeah...definately some sort of vent..... Gas tankers don't ride around with no 'lid' on the tanks.

Wasn't one of our trucks!
One of my servicemen drove by this incident this morning, it was a dump truck that lost its load. My guess is he was hauling sludge from the wastewater treatment plant on Southport Rd.
Although it wouldnt be pleasant, the sludge is not considered Haz-Mat

I hate it when I loose my load. Especially when it spills over a family in a van, that's embarrassin'.
