I saw this question on another site and saw some pretty interesting answers. I guess all hunters aren't red necks. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Ok since I started it, I will go first. I am a engineer for a company who manufactures and markets trace gas (helium and diluted hydrogen) leak testing instruments.

I was as blue collar as they come ... I turned wrenches on cars for a few years. Worked minor construction for a year. Got a degree in Robotics .... and somehow ended up looking over 3000 pc's, 100 servers, 200 network switches/routers/firewalls and about 500 miles of CAT5 and fiber cabling.

I am a financial service rep for a bank. They would never know who I am if they saw me outside of work. Work = shirt and tie. Any other time = cutoff t-shirt, jeans, and some sort of camo ball cap.

Over-educated Babysitter/Office Monkey. Turns out you can't sell a dual major/degree in PR & Ethics - especially if you are a White Male over 30... My real skill set is in hurting people and breaking things, but there isn't much market for that in the civillian sector...

The last 10 years I've worked as a Production Manager for a Flexible Packaging Manufacture. Before that for 11 years I owned a sporting goods store and was self employed as a taxidermist.

I collect my pension and social security checks. What I did in my former life (when I actually worked) was trying to make sure that 600+ people working in the ALCOA Smelter stayed safe and up to date on OSHA compliance. I retired from there at age 56 and did some industrial safety consulting for about 5 or 6 years. Basically working with small companies setting up their safety training programs, training employees on team work and problems solving skills and getting them OSHA compliant. I retired for good about 5 to 6 years ago. Full time job now is keeping momma happy..

I deliver TV's and appliances full time, support the local chiropracter my days off. . . . . ;D I have been in construction, worked in paper mills, supervised incoming QA in a telecomunications mfr, turned a wrench awhile and various other oddball jobs. I have never made a dime over $31,000 a year, but in 3 years if all goes well I will be completely debt free. And might even be able to save a nickel. ;D

Another blue collar redneck here, 3 yrs. USMC, half of that in VietNam. Worked various jobs over the years, married a Flip girl, RN type, issue brown, one each, almost 35 years now. Told my last employer that I was going to jump ship, had enough, a month later he laid me off [we made trim for new houses] due to down turn in business. Guess I'm retired now, won't draw SS until mid-July, drawing a bit of unemployment until then. Have been investing and consulting in a new product for Uncle Sugar for several years now [never made over 25K in my life] so the latest period in my life has been kinda lean. Hope this venture works out as it will help save lives in the current fracus and those in the future [http://www.mtekweaponsystems.com/]. Then it will be back to work. Now with a 10% disability from the 'guvmint, monthly check from investments due to my late parents estate, and my unemployment, I'm keeping my bills paid, Her Highness somewhat happy. Bought most of the guns I "think" I willl ever need when I was working full time [including a PCR], stocked up on primers, brass, powder, bullets, plus still have about 2K in trap loads. Now to stay healthy with no major expenditures for health, I ain't doin' all that bad.

Post graduating from Ball State I produced TV commercials for 8 years, everything from car dealers, hospitals, political campaigns, grocery stores etc. Most of my stuff aired in Muncie, Indy, Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Huntington, WV areas. My highlight of that career was having a local grocery store chain air a local commercial during the Super Bowl in the Huntington, Charleston, & Morgantown WV markets....no, it wasn't national, but they still plopped a ton of $$$ for that local slot of airtime.
For the past 5 years I have worked for WTHR in Indianapolis, as a photojournalist during the weekdays, and Assistant Producer of the Weekend Sunrise news shows. During that time I've covered carnage and horror, happiness and victory, human spirit and human stupidity. It keeps you on your toes seeing death on a daily basis, and trying to not get into the situations that didn't turn out so well for the person under the sheet... I think that I have the best job in the world though, getting to go where few are allowed, meeting politicians, sports heros, tv stars, etc.... it's an awesome 'gig' unless that 'gig' is standing alongside the interstate in 3' of snow waiting for 2 hours just to get a shot of a plow coming by. LOL.
