I'm against it. Ever see what happens when a 180gr hard cast hits one? Bits of mantle, wood and metal go everywhere. Then the homeowner starts shooting back. Just no fun IMO.

Each of my wall mounts has a story to go with it. Priceless!!!!!!!!! Mine too. I can gaze at the mount...then close my eyes and get transformed right back to that very second when I first laid eyes on him. Trophy = A momento of PERSONAL achievement.... . One of my favorite childhood memories is of being at my neighbor's home growing up in Texas and admiring the many deer, fish, and duck mounts they had in their living room. My mom was (and still is) best friends with the woman who lived there, and I was best friends with one of her sons for many years while we were living in Texas. I loved to hear my best friend's older brother (who hunted avidly and still does--has won awards for being one of the best archers in Texas) talk about the stories behind each mount and relate the excitement of the hunt or fishing expedition. Seeing as there are no two mounts that are the same and no two stories behind the mounts that are the same, I see mounts as an artful, unique, and personal "trophy" of achievement. One day I hope to mount (or get a fiberglass cast) of a huge fish I land...preferably a Mahi off the coast of Florida...I'll continue to dream!

My buddy calls my trophy room ..... "the he-man, woman haters, egotistical room". I tend to agree.
