I always try to read things with an open mind.
He's right about the fact that an armed passenger could have altered events on 9/11.
He's also right about a few of the stupid things our government does.
Otherwise, he's full of poop. Talk like this keeps Libertarian ideas from being taken seriously. Many of their basic ideas are very good, things your average outdoorsman might favor: strict observance of Constitutional principles; staying out of foriegn affairs; small government; fiscal responsibility. I'm sad that nutty rants like this keep them on the sidelines.

I will address only one thing you said John. I don't claim to have all the answers. Never have. What I do claim to do is look at things, and state another point of view, regardless of it is my personal opinion or not.
You say my comments are "classic youth"...yours are "classic agedness"...you assume that because you have been here longer you are some how either A) automatically more intelligent, or B) more entitled to your opinion than someone else.
I have never said that "all is as it should be", or that the "world is fair" or anything else of that sort. I am fully aware the for the most part, the world is nothing more than one big charlie foxtrot.
Not everyone has to agree with you, John, nor should it be your goal to make sure that everyone thinks the way that you do. Sometimes people just want to express another side of an issue. I hope that as you continue to age you will see that other people are entitled to their opinions based on their live experiences and accumlated knowlege. I am not trying to put you down, though I like you, don't doubt that you won't see it that way.

Unfortunately the Hyperbole of most Libertarian writers/activists causes more trouble than converts. The sad truth is Libertarianisim is a "mind" political philosophy, not a "hearts" philosophy. Makes it hard to win in today's climate of "Winning the Hearts of the people" - which is done entirely with graft & less radical hyperbole.
