Illinois ex-Senator Carolyn Moseley-Brown, who is as anti-self defense as anyone can possibly be, was mugged outside her home this weekend: tinyurl.com/38nqskLuckily for her the assailant ran away when someone yelled at him.

No that mugger should have been bought a beer if caught. Sorry but I have no use for her, not only because she is an adamant anti firearms, but that she filed bankrupt soon after graduating from college so that she would not have to repay her student loans. And then the fools voted her into federal office.

How about a little taste of irony! Maybe she will change her tune...doubtful given her past behavior and the fact that she's a hypocrite...

Remember the talk on the net a few months ago ..... the PETA type website that was praising the death of a hunter who fell from his treestand?
You guys really need to sit back and compare yourselves.
That web site had numerous posts gleefully telling about the death of a deerhunter because they disagreed with what he did.
This site has posts gleefully telling about the mugging of a woman because they disagree with what she believes.
Good thing this site only has a limited number of members ...... if it were a more populated forum people might actually get the impression that the mindset of some of the radicals here is really how it is in Indiana.

Good thing this site only has a limited number of members ...... if it were a more populated forum people might actually get the impression that the mindset of some of the radicals here is really how it is in Indiana. We're not being radical and gleeful about her attack--we're simply pointing out the hypocricy with which this woman apparently reasons. This woman has spent her career and life against guns for self-protection, and one day she finds herself in the same situation in which guns could be used constructively for self-protection--this, quite logically, has us wondering if she is going to "change her tune", and I at least doubt it for reasons I cited above. PETA claims to be the ultimate protector and guardian of life, but they do not value sacred human life above that of animals--this is just as hypocritical. It disappoints me that you think we are "radicals" who have the potential to reflect badly on the state just because we are pointing out the hypocricy of it all.

One man suggests buying the mugger a beer.
Not one person has voiced concern for her well being or in any way voiced outrage over the fact that she was violently attacked by a low-life thief.

One man suggests buying the muggger a beer. I may be wrong, but I just took it as trying to point out the hypocricy of it in a lighthearted way...I didn't think it was meant literally.

And I suggested banning knives.
One post/poster does not present the level of equivelence to the broad-based actions, policies or statements of the PETArds.

Being the better man should extend to all facets of life .... extend a hand to your enemy when they need it.

You bet I would have helped her. I probably would have shot the mugger and found my skinny white arse in the Chicago Clink for using a gun in Chicago to save an Anti-Gun harpy.
Boy wouldn't that have made for some good Press? ;D

But .... it would have been good press.
It would have sent a powerful message to those who feel gun laws are the best way to protect people.

No swilk it would have been spun around to the point that it would have worked against those that believe in personal protection. After all the poor mugger was only trying to feed his family as he was out of work and underprivileged.
Buy him a beer for committing a crime? Really? No! Lend a hand of heart warming fellowship to someone of her ilk. Nope not that either. No I do not feel sorry for her. Would I send her assailant to prison for this crime? IN a heartbeat. Actually I am surprised that she was not using some of her tax paid lifetime income for body guards that would and do carry firearms for her protection.
