If I were to spend most of my time outdoors, I would be...unfortunately, I've had to spend it either at my desk writing papers, in my living room filming fake therapy sessions, or running around a hospital testing people...

? In our program, you get matched to a site where you provide clinical services to actual clients under supervision by a licensed psychologist--this is practicum. However, for class assignments, you just grab someone else in the class and ask if they'll act like a client, and you'll do the same for them.

I've been popping Clariden like Pez. Claritin? Clariden sounds like a hotel...lol! Claritin pretty much saved me during allergy season. During the fall marching band season when I was in high school (Claritin wasn't OTC yet), I had nothing except Benadryl--my options were to take nothing go out on the field, perform, and barely be able to breathe (the drum major almost insisted that I go to the hospital once, it was so bad), or take two Benadryl, be in a fog on the field during the performance, then get on the bus and immediately fall asleep sitting straight up (usually snoring, drooling, and with my mouth wide open) and not know anything happened until we pulled back into the school parking lot. Claritin was still not OTC when I started co-teaching in a summer program as an undergrad which required me to spend a lot of time outside, so I had to take Benadryl then, and I was in a sleepy fog during my lectures (which were, ironically, on the mechanisms of action of psychoactive drugs!). So life is much better with Claritin--I only take Benadryl if I know I can spend a few hours sleeping!!

I've been popping Clariden like Pez. That is one medication, I cannot take, as well as the other decongestants out there, either OTC or Prescription. Thay all make me feel "Jumpy".

Claritin does not contain pseudoephedrine (the decongestant) unless it's Claritin-D...so if the decongestant makes you "jumpy", plain Claritin shouldn't...

I think the sale of decongestants, containing "pseudoephedrine" have been pretty much controlled. At least one has to sign for them now, which is a good thing. I can remember back when many of these OTC meds were by prescription only. I think anyone, who has problems with congestion, should go to a Doctor for proper treatment instead of self-medicating themselves. Safer, in the long-run.
