This includes out of state firearm hunts that coincide with Indiana's opening date.

I said 0% cause I try to fill my buck tag during archery season. Multiple reasons, for one I can concentrate on nothing but my son and others at that point and 2 it's so much more enjoyable watching that Muzzy fly than to blast away with the 12 guage !!

I'm not sure...
Haven't shot a buck since '97! ;D That was on opening weekend, though I don't remember if it was opening day or not.
There for about 4-5 years or so, though, I did have a deer on the ground by 8:30 opening morning out of the same stand each year...

I've never killed a buck during the opening weekend of firearms season and have rarely seen a shooter on that weekend. Most of my sightings come in early archery and most of my bucks were killed during muzzleloader or in the last week of firearms.

If I don't tag out in archery, or if I don't pass all the bucks I see in a season, then opening day of gun season would move up to 100%, but I took the question to mean all hunting seasons. I have never killed a buck with a shotgun that wasn't on opening morning. They are usually running around our place like there is a huge drive taking place...and I guess in a way there is

I can't ever remember shooting a buck on the opener of fire arms. I know I've shot a doe or two on that day. A couple years ago, I shot a nice buck on the Sunday of the opening weekend.
Anymore, I don't get too worked up about the opener of gun season. I get more pumped for the last week of Oct. and the first week of Nov. with a bow in my hand.

All of mine have come around the Thanksgiving holiday. Usually a day or two before.

There is nothing like the business end of a Goldtip to take your buck. I just don't shoot many bucks at all. Last Legit buck was in 94. I am very picky though. If I wouldn't put it on the wall, I let it walk. I guess you could say I do my part in harvesting antlerless deer.

I think someone figured it out we could kill 259 antlerless deer and one antlered deer this year. That would be archery, fireram and muzzleloader. To do that we would have to hunt every county in the state though. There are limits by county. I don't guess we have a "possesion limit" persay.
