hunter480.........WHEN your accomplishments and your acknowledgements can equal those of Ted Nugent which I have listed below..WELL YOU KNOW THE REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you read this completely you'll see or should see that this man is more than long hair, strong songs, funny or song lyrics that are not completely understood..He's for real and I as many others may not totally agree with some of the things he does or ways he does them,he's for real and at least he's got the balls to speak his mind and speak it in a way that most uderstand,....which is straight forward!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Nuge, Motor City Madman, Terrible Ted, Whackmaster and Uncle Ted are just a few of the names Ted Nugent has earned over the years. He’s earned these names because he’s tackled everything in his life with the "Spirit of the Wild" he was born with.
Ted was born in 1948, and is still going strong, partly thanks to venison – what he calls his wonder food. He began bowhunting at the ripe, young age of five and hasn’t slowed down one bit. While he’s often called a guitar hero, it’s because of his work with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and his advocacy for hunting, that he has earned the respect of hunters across North America. To the Nuge, hunting is not just a sport; it is a way of life.
Ted doesn’t just limit himself to music and hunting, he’s very outspoken when it come to other issues that hit close to home; including politics, the Second Amendment and crime.
The sheer volume of Tedheads that attend both his shows and speaking engagements could be testament enough for Uncle Ted’s impact on the hunting and music communities, but Ted has also racked up a number of awards over the years.
He’s received the James Fenimore Cooper Award for his many accomplishments in the field of writing; and for his amazing work promoting American hunting and outdoor heritage. His top rated show on OLN, Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild, is the three-time winner of the People’s Choice Best Hunting Show Golden Moose Award. The North American Hunting Club named Ted the #1 Hunt Partner and he’s the winner of the first-ever ATV Image Award. It was presented to Ted by ATV Industry Magazine in 2004 for his commitment to outdoor life, hunting and recreation.
At 59, Ted has no plans of slowing down. He’ll embark on a tour this summer that is sure to shock and amaze concert-goers, because when he’s rockin’ out, Terrible Ted ‘takes no prisoners’. When he’s not rockin’, he’s huntin’ and he’ll also be appearing at several hunting events over the season.
Ted’s a loving husband to his wife Shemane and a devoted father to his daughters Starr and Sasha and sons Toby and Rocco.
As busy as he is, he’s doing what he loves. Ted said it best, “I really have the American dream licked.” Ted’s accomplishments and accolades over the years include:
