Hey Guys and Gals. Your Vote is needed on this poll !!!!!!! Spencer Bait & Tackle Virginia Shootings Already, ABC news is polling to see if this tragic incident is grounds for restrictive gun control. Predictable. It's almost unthinkable that the MSM is already milking this for what it is worth politically. But they are.... please participate in this poll, and forward on to others. Click here-- about 1/3 of the way down the page--Heading---is shooting grounds for gun control. www.abcnews.go.com/ I feel sorry for what happened, but this is another blow to law abiding gun owners. I voted in the poll. Here is the question and results as of about 12:30 PM.
There are at least 32 confirmed dead in the shooting at Virginia Tech University, making it the worst campus shooting in American history. Law enforcement officials believe the gunman was firing at least one 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
Do you think this incident is a reason to pass stricter gun control legislation?
No. Violent shootings are isolated incidents and it's irresponsible to link them to gun control. 67,209 votes
Yes. This shows the violence that can occur when someone has access to handguns. 23,468 votes
I'm not sure. I need more information. 1,753 votes
Total Vote: 92,430
Not a scientific survey.
Nice to see some people have a reasonable amount of sense. But I think the results of this poll will be buried somewhere if ABC does not get their desired results.

I heard an unidentified school official being interviewed this A.M on the radio, about the Shooting in VA. He stated he has a CCW and always has his weapon close by . Said he would face the music if he had to use the weapon to save his or the childrens life.

Said he would face the music if he had to use the weapon to save his or the childrens life. That was exactly how I did things as a Uni student - all 5 years and 2 campuses. I'd much rather be alive and expelled than dead or, worse, guilty of allowing a maniac to kill others in my presence.

VT has approx. 21K students, aprox. 1,500 faculty and security, and just over 100 buildings. If even 2% of that number had been allowed to carry concealed in accordance with Virginia law there would have been at least 50 people near enough to that guy, no matter which building he may have been in, to fire the second and final shot that would have limited this tragedy to a single incident rather than a massacre. Will VT share in the legal responsibility for this shooting for their negligence in not allowing those folks to excercise their legal right to carry? Somehow I doubt it...

They will put in metal detectors

There's no way you can police a college campus with metal detectors.....way too many doors, way too much $$$ for the equip and personnel to staff the detectors.
