LOL...every .5 is important for us ladies being as short as some of us are!! ;D Ain't THAT the truth. Just noticed my math was wrong. I was using YOUR height, not hers. She was 4'11.5", which is 16.5" difference. ;D Another I dated was 5'1. You little girls really dig the tall dudes. Or visa versa.

It is not so much that the little girls like the tall dudes. It's that us guys need dependable body guards. My wife is a 5'2" buzzsaw when she gets fired up!!!!!

Okay...lemme get all this right here.... NO FULL AUTO....NO ATV's.....do we have to go to the Atterbury range safety course as well? They used to require attendance of their range safety course before you could shoot at the range. Also....do they allow the 50 BMG on the public range?? Most places don't allow them. That's okay, I guess...have been too busy to load all the 50 ammo. Working on starting a new business as well as selling the one I have now. Not to mention the cars I am now selling.

At Roush Lake you have to wear safety glasses and ear protection. No open can of powder allowed on the range, like muzzle loading powders, other words you cant dip or measure on the line. h.h.

Si, si, si!! ;D You all act as if I do not have an owner of my own. ;D I can assure you all she harbors no sense of humor whatsoever towards 'sharing', and has made it quite plain if anything like that ever took place, I would be on HER trophy wall.

When I get back from Florida I'll go to Roush Lake which is only 10 miles from my house and get their range rules and post them. They should be the same as Atterbury since the range is an exact copy. h.h.

Woody - will try and make it along with my son, and will bring brats, buns and a little charcoal grill... FYI folks... if Atterbury is a copy of Roush Lake's range, you will want to bring full cup hearing protection... the overhead angled concrete deflection slabs and concrete floor at the shooting benches creates one heck of a reverberation/echo... when Chris and I shot last Memorial Day at the Roush military rifle shoot, we started with ear plugs, and later switched to full cup units... even though it's open air, it's louder than any indoor range I've ever been to, so be prepared... unless they got smart at Atterbury and put in some sound deadening foam overhead... if you've got staple guns, bring 'em... 50 yd shooting lanes were on the left, 100 yd on the right/center and some 25 yd pistol positons on the far right... Roush's shotgun area was pretty minimal, and I don't believe they had throwers set up there (Chris and I were there for the rifle match, so didn't really pay much attention to the trap/skeet area)... also don't know if you could bring your own clay or had to buy there... We didn't have to do any range safety course... just signed in, paid the shooting fee and got a rules sheet at that point... you did have to buy the targets for use from IDNR...

Kirk,
Looking forward to seeing you again.
Brats are GOOD!
Thanks for the update on the range.
I understand that the DNR does have a trap and skeet field at Atterbury??

I just called and talked to Ron Mason (phone number is 317-446-6972), who will be the concessionaire for the range when it opens. Any questions can be directed to him. The range is now supposed to open on May 30th. There will be a safety briefing conducted before the shooting begins, but there is no safety course you have to take to shoot there. Muzzleloading, dipping and measuring, is allowed at the range. The fee is $1 per hour, minimum of 2 hours. There is also an annual pass available for $80. That is all the info I have for now, any other questions can be directed to Ron. He seemed like a really nice guy.

When it gets a little closer I'll give him a call.
Hopefully they wont back that opening date up any more than they already have.
