Isn't this weather ridiculous. We set record highs a few days ago and now we are working towards record lows this week. If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute.

I certainly hope this bout of cold weather won't freeze out the acorn or hickory nut crops this year. Where I live, last year we had almost no mast for the Squirrels or Deer.

Yeah, but this weather is goingto help the Turkey Hunting. It should keep the Hens from all coming into heat and keep those Toms Strutting and Gobbling A little while longer.

I need to get out and look for some mushrooms. Guys have been finding them on morels.com. They even have some pictures to prove it.

I had to bring my mini greenhouses in lastnight..I have 150 plants growing for my garden,I'd hate to lose those...I was out in my shop earlier and I thought I was going to have to get my cold weather carharts back out of storage..It sucks..

Yeah, try working outside today... We've avoided it as much as possible, but the last 2 yards of mulch we put down this morning really sucked. Spreading at the peak of a hill, the wind bit right through. Really wish now I'd waited 2 more weeks to shave off my beard!!
Oh, LCB- I did see two turkeys today, but they weren't waiting around for much, and I didn't have the call with me either. They were upwind ~500 yards, so they wouldn't have heard it anyway...

Birds breeding cycles are controlled by the amount of day-light. not the weather. It can be -50 degrees out and they will feel the urge to breed. I raise my pigeons in Dec, simply by turning on lights. It fools them into thinking it spring. Cold weather does nothing.
Blowin and snowin up here in South Bend ;D ;D ;D

I have had 13 disgusting mice in my apartment in 3 months (12 in the first two months of the aforementioned period) and I'm really hoping the cold weather doesn't bring them back in...

On the upside, except for a few dedicated guys I will probably have the tail waters to myself on Saturday. The walleyes have been hitting pretty good at Kokomo and Mississnewa spillways.

It was supposed to get down to 27 last night and it ONLY got down to 33.
Fairly cold predictions the next few days.
Good thing that warm weather didn't lull me into buying and setting out flowers prematurely.
Typical southern Indiana weather..

I know the weather really sucks! I had to bring in three of my Bonsai trees into the house last evening. They have all their leaves out, due to the the record high temp., we were having last week.
