HENDERSON, Ky. --
The collision of a pickup truck with two all-terrain vehicles resulted in the deaths of the ATV drivers and injury to others involved, according to a report by Kentucky State Police.Killed in the crash at 7:35 p.m. Sunday were Allen C. Bratcher, 65, of Beaver Dam, and Jessica M. Casey, 48, of Centertown, both drivers of ATVs, Trooper Mark Applin's report said. The truck driver, Timothy J. Daugherty, 18, of Centertown and Danny D. Casey, 45, of Centertown, also operating an ATV, were hospitalized with injuries.
The crash on Kentucky 85-W occurred when Daugherty's 2006 Chevrolet pickup came up behind the three ATVs, one mile west of Centertown, Applin reported. "He (Daugherty) came up behind the ATVs, which he didn't see until the last moment. He attempted to avoid the ATVs by steering to the right. He struck two of the ATVs."
The truck rolled over approximately three times, coming to final rest upright, Applin said. "During the rollover, it is believed that the truck landed on at least one ATV operator. The driver of the truck was unbelted and partially ejected," he added.
The report did not indicate how Danny Casey was involved in the collision. He was admitted to Daviess County Hospital. Neither his condition, nor Daugherty's, were available early Monday.
No charges were filed in connection with the accident, state police said.
There is also reports of a man killed on an ATV yesterday in Marshall Co at 2am.
